Years in the lab, classroom, or field change how you think. You question everything, don’t take claims at face value, and would prefer to wear ideas rather than logos. But it can be hard to find a science shirt you’ll actually wear after the conference.

That’s where we come in.

I’m Natalie, a PhD biologist and scientific editor turned small business owner (and fellow person who can’t stop thinking about how things work). I created THE LAB CULT while on mat leave.

At THE LAB CULT, we believe that curiosity is the most powerful force in human progress, and that the pursuit of knowledge deserves to be celebrated.

Every design here is rooted in real scientific concepts and lab culture. We don’t dumb it down or dress it up. We just make thoughtful tees for thoughtful people.

And because you’re probably the kind of person who reads the methods section, you might be interested to know that we offer made-to-order production, ethically sourced fabrics, and local fulfillment (Canada for Canadian orders, US for US). This means no overstock and no fabric waste.
